Now when the news came to Joab, son of Saruia, because he had been of Adonias’ party, and not a follower of Solomon, therefore Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took hold of the horns of the altar.

And the report came to Joab son of Saruia; for Joab had turned after Adonias, and he went not after Solomon: and Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and caught hold of the horns of the altar.

Καὶ ἡ ἀκοὴ ἦλθεν ἕως Ἰωὰβ υἱοῦ Σαρουίας, ὅτι Ἰωὰβ ἦν κεκλικὼς ὀπίσω Ἀδωνίου, καὶ ὀπίσω Σαλωμὼν οὐκ ἔκλινε· καὶ ἔφυγεν Ἰωὰβ εἰς τὸ σκήνωμα τοῦ Κυρίου, καὶ κατέσχε τῶν κεράτων τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου.
