Μετὰ ταῦτα ἀπέστειλε Σίμων τὸν Νουμήνιον εἰς Ῥώμην ἔχοντα ἀσπίδα χρυσῆν μεγάλην ὁλκῆς μνῶν χιλιων, εἰς τὸ στῆσαι πρὸς αὐτοὺς τὴν συμμαχίαν.
