2 Kings 18:22
Thomson 1808
Perhaps thou leanest on that staff—that broken reed—on Egypt; on which if anyone lean, it will enter his hand and pierce it. Such is Pharao king of Egypt to all who trust in him. As to thy telling me, We have relied on the Lord God; is not this He, Whose high places and whose altars Ezekias hath pulled down, saying to Juda and Jerusalem, You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
Brenton 1851
And whereas thou hast said to me, We trust on the Lord God: is not this he, whose high places and altars Ezekias has removed, and has said to Juda and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
