Whereupon David inquired of the Lord saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into my hands? And the Lord said to David, Go up; for I will assuredly deliver the Philistines into thy hands.

Καὶ ἠρώτησε Δαυὶδ διὰ Κυρίου, λέγων, εἰ ἀναβῶ πρὸς τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους, καὶ παραδώσεις αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰς χεῖράς μου; καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Δαυὶδ, ἀνάβαινε, ὅτι παραδιδοὺς παραδώσω τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους εἰς τὰς χεῖράς σου.
