Had it not been for the temper of enemies; That the adversaries might not out live them— That they might not fall upon them at once; Lest they should say, Our own high hand, And not the Lord, hath done all this.

Εἰ μὴ διʼ ὀργὴν ἐχθρῶν, ἵνα μὴ μακροχρονίσωσι, ἵνα μὴ συνεπιθῶνται οἱ ὑπεναντίοι· μὴ εἴπωσιν, ἡ χεὶρ ἡμῶν ἡ ὑψηλὴ, καὶ οὐχὶ Κύριος, ἐποίησε ταῦτα πάντα.
