Now when Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, Perhaps Joseph may bear us a grudge and requite us for all the ills which we have done to him.

And when the brethren of Joseph saw that their father was dead, they said, Let us take heed, lest at any time Joseph remember evil against us, and recompense to us all the evils which we have done against him.

Ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ Ἰωσὴφ, ὅτι τέθνηκεν ὁ πατὴρ αὐτῶν, εἶπαν, μή ποτε μνησικακήσῃ ἡμῖν Ἰωσὴφ, καὶ ἀνταπόδομα ἀνταποδῷ ἡμῖν πάντα τὰ κακὰ, ἃ ἐνεδειξάμεθα εἰς αὐτὸν.
