Hosea 8

Hosea 8:4

Septuagint · public domain
Thomson 1808
They made kings for themselves, but not by Me—they set up a government and did not consult Me. Of their silver and gold they made idols for themselves that they might be utterly cut off.
Brenton 1851
They have made kings for themselves, but not by me: they have ruled, but they did not make it known to me: of their silver and their gold they have made images to themselves, that they might be destroyed.
