Shall evils be returned for good offices? Because they contrived designs against my life and concealed the punishment they intended for me. Remember how I stood before Thee to intercede for them—to turn away Thy wrath from them.

Εἰ ἀνταποδίδοται ἀντὶ ἀγαθῶν κακὰ, ὅτι συνελάλησαν ῥήματα κατὰ τῆς ψυχῆς μου, καὶ τὴν κόλασιν αὐτῶν ἔκρυψάν μοι· μνήσθητι ἑστηκότος μου κατὰ πρόσωπόν σου, τοῦ λαλῆσαι ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν ἀγαθὰ, τοῦ ἀποστρέψαι τὸν θυμόν σου ἀπʼ αὐτῶν.
