Jeremiah 4

Jeremiah 4:31

Septuagint · public domain
Thomson 1808
For I have heard a sound as of one in labour—of thy groan, as of one who beareth her first child. (J) The voice of the daughter of Sion shall be weak: and she shall let her hands hang down. (p) Woe is me! for my soul fainteth on account of the slain.
Brenton 1851
For I have heard thy groaning as the voice of a woman in travail, as of her that brings forth her first child; the voice of the daughter of Zion shall fail through weakness, and she shall lose the strength of her hands, saying, Woe is me! for my soul faints because of the slain.
