Καὶ ὤμοσεν αὐτοῖς Γοδολίας, καὶ τοῖς ἀνδράσιν αὐτῶν, λέγων, μὴ φοβηθῆτε ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν παίδων τῶν Χαλδαίων· κατοικήσατε ἐν τῇ γῇ, καὶ ἐργάσασθε τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος, καὶ βέλτιον ἔσται ὑμῖν.
