Καὶ ἐσάλπισαν ταῖς σάλπιγξιν οἱ ἱερεῖς· ὡς δὲ ἤκουσεν ὁ λαὸς τῶν σαλπίγγων, ἠλάλαξε πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἅμα ἀλαλαγμῷ μεγάλῳ καὶ ἰσχυρῷ· καὶ ἔπεσεν ἅπαν τὸ τεῖχος κύκλῳ· καὶ ἀνέβη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὴν πόλιν.
