Arise, chant praise in the night at setting thy watch. Pour out thy heart like water before the Lord; lift up thy hands to Him for the life of thine infants who are perishing with hunger at the head of every street.

ΚΩΦ. Ἀνάστα, ἀγαλλίασαι ἐν νυκτὶ εἰς ἀρχὰς φυλακῆς σου, ἔκχεον ὡς ὕδωρ καρδίαν σου ἀπέναντι προσώπου Κυρίου, ἆρον πρὸς αὐτὸν χεῖράς σου περὶ ψυχῆς νηπίων σου, τῶν ἐκλυομένων λιμῷ ἐπʼ ἀρχῆς πασῶν ἐξόδων.
