ThomsonThis is the law of the leper. Whenever he is cleansed he shall be brought before the priest.
BrentonThis is the law of the leper: in whatsoever day he shall have been cleansed, then shall he be brought to the priest.

ThomsonThe priest shall go out of the camp; and if upon looking, the priest see that the touch of the leprosy is healed in the leper,
BrentonAnd the priest shall come forth out of the camp, and the priest shall look, and, behold, the plague of the leprosy is removed from the leper.

Thomsonand the priest shall give orders, and they shall kill one live bird, over spring water, in an earthen vessel.
BrentonAnd the priest shall give direction, and they shall kill one bird over an earthen vessel over running water.

ThomsonThen he shall take the living bird, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet yarn, and the hyssop, and dip them, and the living bird, in the blood of the bird which was killed over the spring water,
BrentonAnd as for the living bird he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the spun scarlet, and the hyssop, and he shall dip them and the living bird into the blood of the bird that was slain over running water.

Thomsonand sprinkle some of it seven times on him who is cleansed from the leprosy, and he shall be clean. Then he shall let the live bird go into the field.
BrentonAnd he shall sprinkle seven times upon him that was cleansed of his leprosy, and he shall be clean; and he shall let go the living bird into the field.
GreekΚαὶ περιῤῥανεῖ ἐπὶ τὸν καθαρισθέντα ἀπὸ τῆς λέπρας ἑπτάκις, καὶ καθαρὸς ἔσται· καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ τὸ ὀρνίθιον τὸ ζῶν εἰς τὸ πεδίον.

ThomsonAnd he who is cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself with water; and he shall be clean; and after this he may come into the camp; but he must tarry abroad, out of his own house, seven days.
BrentonAnd the man that has been cleansed shall wash his garments, and shall shave off all his hair, and shall wash himself in water, and shall be clean; and after that he shall go into the camp, and shall remain out of his house seven days.

ThomsonAnd on the seventh day he shall shave off all the hair on his head, and beard, and his eyebrows; and having shaved off all his hair, he shall wash his clothes, and wash his body with water, and he shall be clean.
BrentonAnd it shall come to pass on the seventh day, he shall shave off all his hair, his head and his beard, and his eye-brows, even all his hair shall he shave; and he shall wash his garments, and wash his body with water, and shall be clean.

ThomsonAnd on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs, of the first year, without blemish, and three tenths of fine flour, tempered with oil, for a sacrifice, and one cotulus of oil;
BrentonAnd on the eighth day he shall take two lambs without spot of a year old, and one ewe lamb without spot of a year old, and three-tenths of fine flour for sacrifice kneaded with oil, and one small cup of oil.

Thomsonand the priest who pronounceth him clean shall set the man who is cleansed, and these things, before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony;

Thomson(Now they shall kill the lamb in the place where they kill the whole burnt offerings and the sin offerings—in a holy place) for as is the sin offering, so is the trespass offering, for the priest. They are most holy.
BrentonAnd they shall kill the lamb in the place where they kill the whole-burnt-offerings, and the sin-offerings, in the holy places; for it is a sin-offering: as the trespass-offering, it belongs to the priest, it is most holy.

ThomsonAnd the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.
BrentonAnd the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of the person under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

ThomsonThen taking some of the cotulus of oil, the priest shall pour it into his own left hand,
BrentonAnd the priest shall take of the cup of oil, and shall pour it upon his own left hand.
GreekΚαὶ λαβὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς ἀπὸ τῆς κοτύλης τοῦ ἐλαίου, ἐπιχεεῖ ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρα τοῦ ἱερέως τὴν ἀριστεράν.

Thomsonand he shall dip his right finger into the oil which is in his left hand, and sprinkle it with his finger before the Lord seven times.
BrentonAnd he shall dip with the finger of his right hand into some of the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle with his finger seven times before the Lord.
GreekΚαὶ βάψει τὸν δάκτυλον τὸν δεξιὸν ἀπὸ τοὺ ἐλαίου τοῦ ὄντος ἐπὶ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ τῆς ἀριστερᾶς· καὶ ῥανεῖ τῷ δακτύλῳ ἑπτάκις ἔναντι Κυρίου.

ThomsonAnd the rest of the oil which is in his left hand the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him who is cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.
BrentonAnd the remaining oil that is in his hand, the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him that is under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass-offering.

ThomsonAnd the oil still left in his hand the priest shall put on the head of him who is cleansed. So shall the priest make atonement for him before the Lord.
BrentonAnd the remaining oil that is on the hand of the priest, the priest shall put on the head of the cleansed leper, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.
GreekΤὸ δὲ καταλειφθὲν ἔλαιον τὸ ἐπὶ τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ ἱερέως, ἐπιθήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν τοῦ καθαρισθέντος· καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ ὁ ἱερεὺς ἔναντι Κυρίου.

ThomsonThen the priest shall prepare the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is cleansed, with his sin offering, and after that the priest shall kill the whole burnt offering.
BrentonAnd the priest shall sacrifice the sin-offering, and the priest shall make atonement for the person under purification to cleanse him from his sin, and afterwards the priest shall slay the whole-burnt-offering.
GreekΚαὶ ποιήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸ περὶ τῆς ἁμαρτίας, καὶ ἐξιλάσεται ὁ ἱερεὺς περὶ τοῦ καθαριζομένου ἀπὸ τῆς ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ· καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο σφάξει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸ ὁλοκαύτωμα.

ThomsonAnd the priest shall offer up the whole burnt offering, and the sacrifice of flour, on the altar. So shall the priest make atonement for him, and he shall be cleansed.
BrentonAnd the priest shall offer the whole-burnt-offering, and the sacrifice upon the altar before the Lord; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be cleansed.

ThomsonBut if he be poor, and not of ability to furnish this, he shall take one lamb for the trespass which he hath committed, that it may be set apart as a dedication, so that atonement may be made for him, and a tenth of fine flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a cotulus of oil,
BrentonAnd if he should be poor, and cannot afford so much, he shall take one lamb for his transgression for a separate-offering, so as to make propitiation for him, and a tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a sacrifice, and one cup of oil,

Thomsonand two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, which ever he can find most readily, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a whole burnt offering.
Brentonand two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, as he can afford; and the one shall be for a sin-offering, and the other for a whole-burnt-offering.

Thomsonthen pouring some of the oil into his own left hand,
BrentonAnd the priest shall pour of the oil on his own left hand.

Thomsonthe priest shall sprinkle, with his right finger, some of the oil in his left hand, seven times before the Lord.
BrentonAnd the priest shall sprinkle with the finger of his right hand some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the Lord.

Thomsonand shall put the oil remaining in his hand, on the head of him who is cleansed; so having made atonement for him before the Lord,
BrentonAnd that which is left of the oil which is on the hand of the priest he shall put on the head of him that is purged, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

Thomsonthe priest shall offer one of the turtledoves, or one of the young pigeons,

ThomsonThis is the law for him on whom there is a touch of the leprosy, and who is not of ability to furnish the other offerings for his purification.

ThomsonWhen you are come to the land of the Chananites which I give you for a possession, and I send a touch of a leprosy on the houses of the land which you possess,
BrentonWhensoever ye shall enter into the land of the Chananites, which I give you for a possession, and I shall put the plague of leprosy in the houses of the land of your possession;

Thomsonthe owner of the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, Something like a touch hath appeared to me in the house.
Brentonthen the owner of the house shall come and report to the priest, saying, I have seen as it were a plague in the house.

ThomsonUpon this the priest shall order the house to be unfurnished, before he goeth in to view the touch, that what is in the house may not be made unclean. And this being done, the priest shall go in to examine the house.
BrentonAnd the priest shall give orders to remove the furniture of the house, before the priest comes in to see the plague, and thus none of the things in the house shall become unclean; and afterwards the priest shall go in to examine the house.
GreekΚαὶ προστάξει ὁ ἱερεὺς ἀποσκευάσαι τὴν οἰκίαν, πρὸ τοῦ εἰσελθόντα τὸν ἱερέα ἰδεῖν τὴν ἁφὴν, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀκάθαρτα γένηται ὅσα ἂν ᾖ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ· καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσεται ὁ ἱερεὺς καταμαθεῖν τὴν οἰκίαν.

ThomsonAnd if, upon viewing the touch, he see that there is a touch in the walls of the house, and he seeth the cavities of a reddish or greenish colour, which appear to be deep in the wall;
BrentonAnd he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house, he will see greenish or reddish cavities, and the appearance of them will be beneath the surface of the walls.
GreekΚαὶ ὄψεται τὴν ἁφὴν, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ ἁφὴ ἐν τοῖς τοίχοις τῆς οἰκίας, κοιλάδας χλωριζούσας, ἢ πυῤῥιζούσας, καὶ ἡ ὄψις αὐτῶν ταπεινοτέρα τῶν τοίχων.

ThomsonBut when the priest shall come, and go in, if upon taking a view he seeth that the touch hath not spread in the house, after being plastered, the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the touch is healed.
