Whereupon the children of Israel said, Let us pass through along the mountains, and if I, or my cattle drink of thy water, I will make thee compensation. Grant but this. It is but a small matter. Let us march through along the mountain.

Καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ, παρὰ τὸ ὄρος παρελευσόμεθα· ἐὰν δὲ τοῦ ὕδατός σου πίωμεν ἐγώ τε καὶ τὰ κτήνη μου, δώσω τιμήν σοι· ἀλλὰ τὸ πρᾶγμα οὐδέν ἐστι· παρὰ τὸ ὄρος παρελευσόμεθα.
