ThomsonO GOD, pass not by my praise in silence:
BrentonA Psalm of David. The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
GreekΨαλμὸς τῷ Δαυίδ. Εἶπεν ὁ Κύριος τῷ Κυρίῳ μου, κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου, ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου.

Thomsonfor against me the mouth of a sinner; and the mouth of the deceitful is opened. They have spoken against me with a deceitful tongue.—
BrentonThe Lord shall send out a rod of power for thee out of Sion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
GreekῬάβδον δυνάμεως ἐξαποστελεῖ σοι Κύριος ἐκ Σιὼν, κατακυρίευε ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου.

ThomsonWith words of hatred they encompassed me about; and fought against me without provocation.
BrentonWith thee is dominion in the day of thy power, in the splendours of thy saints: I have begotten thee from the womb before the morning.
GreekΜετὰ σοῦ ἡ ἀρχὴ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τῆς δυνάμεώς σου, ἐν ταῖς λαμπρότησι τῶν ἁγίων σου· ἐκ γαστρὸς πρὸ Ἑωσφόρου ἐγέννησά σε.

BrentonThe Lord sware, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec.
GreekὬμοσε Κύριος καὶ οὐ μεταμεληθήσεται, σὺ ἱερεὺς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, κατὰ τὴν τάξιν Μελχισεδέκ.

Thomson“Set a sinner over him; and let an accuser stand at his right hand.
BrentonHe shall judge among the nations, he shall fill up the number of corpses, he shall crush the heads of many on the earth.
GreekΚρινεῖ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσι, πληρώσει πτώματα, συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐπὶ γῆν πολλῶν.

ThomsonWhen he is judged let him be condemned; and let his supplication be deemed an offence.
BrentonHe shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore shall he lift up the head.
