ThomsonO LORD, our Lord, how Thy name ought to be admired in all the earth, since Thine excellence is exalted above the heavens!

ThomsonFrom the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise, on account of Thine enemies—[on account] of destroying an enemy and a revenger.
BrentonO Lord, our Lord, how wonderful is thy name in all the earth! for thy magnificence is exalted above the heavens.
GreekΚύριε ὁ Κύριος ἡμῶν, ὡς θαυμαστὸν τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ; ὅτι ἐπῄρθη ἡ μεγαλοπρέπειά σου ὑπεράνω τῶν οὐρανῶν.

ThomsonWhen I behold the heavens, the work of Thy fingers—the moon and stars which Thou hast established,

Thomsonwhat is man that Thou shouldst be mindful of him, or a son of man that Thou shouldst visit him!
BrentonFor I will regard the heavens, the work of thy fingers; the moon and stars, which thou hast established.
GreekὍτι ὄψομαι τοὺς οὐρανοὺς ἔργα τῶν δακτύλων σου, σελήνην καὶ ἀστέρας, ἃ σὺ ἐθεμελίωσας·

ThomsonThou madest him a little lower than angels, with glory and honour Thou hast crowned him,
BrentonWhat is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
GreekΤί ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος, ὅτι μιμνήσκῃ αὐτοῦ; ἢ υἱὸς ἀνθρώπου, ὅτι ἐπισκέπτῃ αὐτόν;

Thomsonand set him over the works of Thy hands. Thou hast put all things under his feet—
