Ταῦτα ἐποίησε Βαναία υἱὸς Ἰωδαὲ, καὶ τούτῳ ὄνομα ἐν τοῖς τρισὶ τοῖς δυνατοῖς. Ὑπὲρ τοὺς τριάκοντα ἦν ἔνδοξος οὗτος, καὶ πρὸς τοὺς τρεῖς οὐκ ἤρχετο· καὶ κατέστησεν αὐτὸν Δαυὶδ ἐπὶ τὴν πατριὰν αὐτοῦ.
