1 Samuel 2:29

Septuagint · public domain
Thomson 1808
Why then hast thou looked with an impudent eye on My incense offerings, and on My sacrifice of flour, and honoured thy sons above Me, by indulging them with the dedicated part of every sacrifice of Israel, in preference to Me?
Brenton 1851
And wherefore hast thou looked upon my incense-offering and my meat-offering with a shameless eye, and hast honoured thy sons above me, so that they should bless themselves with the first-fruits of every sacrifice of Israel before me?
Greek · Brenton
Καὶ ἱνατί ἐπέβλεψας ἐπὶ τὸ θυμίαμά μου καὶ εἰς τὴν θυσίαν μου ἀναιδεῖ ὀφθαλμῷ; καὶ ἐδόξασας τοὺς υἱούς σου ὑπὲρ ἐμὲ ἐνευλογεῖσθαι ἀπαρχῆς πάσης θυσίας τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἔμπροσθέν μου;
