And king Nabuchodonosor answered and said, Blessed be the God of Sedrach, Misach, and Abdenago, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants, because they trusted in him; and they have changed the king's word, and delivered their bodies to be burnt, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Ναβουχοδονόσορ ὁ βασιλεὺς, καὶ εἶπεν, εὐλογητὸς ὁ Θεὸς τοῦ Σεδρὰχ, Μισὰχ, Ἀβδεσαγὼ, ὃς ἀπέστειλε τὸν ἄγγελον αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐξείλατο τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἐπεποίθεισαν ἐπʼ αὐτῷ· καὶ τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦ βασιλέως ἠλλοίωσαν, καὶ παρέδωκαν τὰ σὼματα αὐτῶν εἰς πῦρ, ὅπως μὴ λατρεύσωσι μηδὲ προσκυνήσωσι παντὶ θεῷ, ἀλλʼ ἢ τῷ Θεῷ αὐτῶν.
