none but the priests are to go in there. That they who offer up the offerings may be continually holy, and that none may touch the garments in which they minister because they are holy, the priests must not go out from the sanctuary into the outer court. And when they are to mix with the people, they must put on other garments.

Οὐκ εἰσελεύσονται ἐκεῖ πάρεξ τῶν ἱερέων, οὐκ ἐξελεύσονται ἐκ τοῦ ἁγίου εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν ἐξωτέραν, ὅπως διαπαντὸς ἅγιοι ὦσιν οἱ προσάγοντες, καὶ μὴ ἅπτωνται τοῦ στολισμοῦ αὐτῶν, ἐν οἷς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς, διότι ἅγιά ἐστι· καὶ ἐνδύσονται ἱμάτια ἕτερα, ὅταν ἅπτωνται τοῦ λαοῦ.
