Thomson 1808
and let us arise and go to Bethel and build there an altar to the God Who hearkened to me in a day of distress—Who was with me and preserved me in the way in which I went. So they gave Jacob the strange gods, which were in their hands and the ear rings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them in the pine grove, which was in the country of the Sekimites and destroyed them even to this day.
Brenton 1851
And let us rise and go up to Bæthel, and let us there make an altar to God who hearkened to me in the day of calamity, who was with me, and preserved me throughout in the journey, by which I went.
