ThomsonAND seven women shall lay hold on one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own raiment, let us only be called by Thy name: take Thou away our reproach.

GreekΚαὶ ἐπιλήψονται ἑπτὰ γυναῖκες ἀνθρώπου ἑνὸς, λέγουσαι, τὸν ἄρτον ἡμῶν φαγόμεθα, καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια ἡμῶν περιβαλούμεθα, πλὴν τὸ ὄνομα τὸ σὸν κεκλήσθω ἐφʼ ἡμᾶς, ἄφελε τὸν ὀνειδισμὸν ἡμῶν.

ThomsonBut in that day God will with glorious counsel shine on the land, to exalt and dignify the remnant of Israel.

ThomsonAnd it shall come to pass that what is left in Sion, and what is left in Jerusalem shall be called Holy. Namely all who are enrolled for life in Jerusalem.
BrentonAnd it shall be, that the remnant left in Sion, and the remnant left in Jerusalem, even all that are appointed to life in Jerusalem, shall be called holy.

Thomsontherefore when He shall come, every part of Sion and all around it shall be overshadowed by day with a cloud as of smoke, and by night with that of the light of blazing fire; and with all this glory it shall be covered;
BrentonAnd he shall come, and it shall be with regard to every place of mount Sion, yea, all the region round about it shall a cloud overshadow by day, and there shall be as it were the smoke and light of fire burning by night: and upon all the glory shall be a defence.

Thomsonand this will be a shade from heat, and it shall be in a shelter and covert from storm and rain.
BrentonAnd it shall be for a shadow from the heat, and as a shelter and a hiding-place from inclemency of weather and from rain.
GreekΚαὶ ἔσται εἰς σκιὰν ἀπὸ καύματος, καὶ ἐν σκέπῃ καὶ ἐν ἀποκρύφῳ ἀπὸ σκληρότητος καὶ ὑετοῦ.
