Behold when we enter any part of the city, thou shalt put up this signal—Thou shalt tie this scarlet rope to the window, through which thou shalt have let us down; and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brothers, and all thy father’s household, home to thy house.

Ἰδοὺ ἡμεῖς εἰσπορευόμεθα εἰς μέρος τῆς πόλεως, καὶ θήσεις τὸ σημεῖον, τὸ σπαρτίον τὸ κόκκινον τοῦτο ἐκδήσεις εἰς τὴν θυρίδα διʼ ἧς κατεβίβασας ἡμᾶς διʼ αὐτῆς· τὸν δὲ πατέρα σου, καὶ τὴν μητέρα σου, καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου, καὶ πάντα τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός σου συνάξεις πρὸς σεαυτὴν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν σου.
