Upon which the bramble said to the trees, If in truth you anoint me to reign over you, come and stand in my shade; if not, let a fire go out from me, and consume the cedars of Lebanon.

Καὶ εἶπεν ἡ ῥάμνος πρὸς τὰ ξύλα, εἰ ἐν ἀληθείᾳ χρίετέ με ὑμεῖς τοῦ βασιλεύειν ἐφʼ ὑμᾶς, δεῦτε, ὑπόστητε ἐν τῇ σκιᾷ μου· καὶ εἰ μὴ, ἐξέλθοι πῦρ ἀπʼ ἐμοῦ καὶ καταφάγοι τὰς κέδρους τοῦ Λιβάνου.
