The highways of Sion mourn because none attend her festivals. All her gates are desolate. Her priests groan bitterly. Her virgins are carried away; and she is by herself in bitterness.

ΔΑΛΕΘ. Ὁδοὶ Σιὼν πενθοῦσι παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἐρχομένους ἐν ἑορτῇ· πᾶσαι αἱ πύλαι αὐτῆς ἠφανισμέναι, οἱ ἱερεῖς αὐτῆς ἀναστενάζουσιν, αἱ παρθένοι αὐτῆς ἀγόμεναι, καὶ αὐτὴ πικραινομένη ἐν ἑαυτῇ.
