9
Thomsonhe who offereth must bring, with the young bull, three tenths of fine flour mixed up with the half of an hin of oil, for a sacrifice;

12
ThomsonAccording to the number which you offer, thus you shall do for every one, according to their number.
BrentonAccording to the number of what ye shall offer, so shall ye do to each one, according to their number.
13
ThomsonEvery one born in the land shall prepare these things in this manner, when he maketh offerings of homage for a smell of fragrance for the Lord.
BrentonEvery native of the country shall do thus to offer such things as sacrifices for a smell of sweet savour to the Lord.
14
ThomsonAnd if there be a proselyte among you in your land, or whoever there may be among your generations, who will make an offering of homage, a smell of fragrance for the Lord, in the same manner as you do, so shall he do. The congregation is the Lord’s.
BrentonAnd if there should be a stranger among you in your land, or one who should be born to you among your generations, and he will offer a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savour to the Lord—as ye do, so the whole congregation shall offer to the Lord.
15
ThomsonThere shall be one law for you, and for the proselytes among you is a perpetual law for your generations. As you are, so shall the proselyte be before the Lord.
BrentonThere shall be one law for you and for the strangers abiding among you, a perpetual law for your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord.
16
ThomsonThere shall be one law, and one rule of rectitude for you and for the proselyte settled among you.
BrentonThere shall be one law and one ordinance for you, and for the stranger that abides among you.
17
ThomsonAgain the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
BrentonAnd the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
18
ThomsonSpeak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, When you come to the land to which I am conducting you,
BrentonSpeak to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, When ye are entering into the land, into which I bring you,
19
Thomsonthis must be done: When you are about to eat of the bread of the land, you shall set apart a separate portion as a dedication to the Lord.
Brentonthen it shall come to pass, when ye shall eat of the bread of the land, ye shall separate a wave-offering, a special offering to the Lord, the first-fruits of your dough.
20
ThomsonAs the first fruits of your dough you shall set apart a loaf for this separate portion. As a dedication from the threshing floor, so shall you set this apart,
BrentonYe shall offer your bread a heave-offering: as a heave-offering from the threshing-floor, so shall ye separate it,
21
Thomsonas the first portion of your dough, and you shall give it to the Lord as a dedication throughout your generations.
Brentoneven the first-fruits of your dough, and ye shall give the Lord a heave-offering throughout your generations.
22
ThomsonAnd when you shall be guilty of a failure, and shall not have performed all these commands which the Lord hath delivered to Moses—
BrentonBut whensoever ye shall transgress, and not perform all these commands, which the Lord spoke to Moses;
23
Thomsoneven all that the Lord hath enjoined on you by the ministry of Moses, from the day the Lord gave them in charge to you, and thenceforward throughout your generations,
Brentonas the Lord appointed you by the hand of Moses, from the day which the Lord appointed you and forward throughout your generations,
24
Thomsonthen shall this be done: If, escaping the notice of the congregation, it hath been done inadvertently, the whole congregation shall offer a young bull from the herd, without blemish, for a whole burnt offering, for a smell of fragrance for the Lord, with its sacrifice, and its libation, according to the rule prescribed, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.
Brentonthen it shall come to pass, if a trespass be committed unwillingly, unknown to the congregation, then shall all the congregation offer a calf of the herd without blemish for a whole-burnt-offering of sweet savour to the Lord, and its meat-offering and its drink-offering according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering.
25
ThomsonAnd the priest shall make atonement for the whole congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them. Because it was done through inadvertency, and they have brought their gift, an offering of homage to the Lord for their sin before the Lord, for their involuntary acts;
BrentonAnd the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the trespass shall be forgiven them, because it is involuntary; and they have brought their gift, a burnt-offering to the Lord for their trespass before the Lord, even for their involuntary sins.
26
Thomsontherefore forgiveness shall be extended to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, even to the stranger settled among you; because it was an act of ignorance in the whole people.
BrentonAnd it shall be forgiven as respects all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that is abiding among you, because it is involuntary to all the people.
27
ThomsonAnd if any individual sin ignorantly, he shall bring a she-goat of the first year for a sin offering;
BrentonAnd if one soul sin unwillingly, he shall bring one she-goat of a year old for a sin-offering.
28
Thomsonand the priest shall make an atonement for the person who hath been guilty through ignorance, and hath sinned inadvertently before the Lord. In making atonement for him who shall act inadvertently,
BrentonAnd the priest shall make atonement for the soul that committed the trespass unwillingly, and that sinned unwillingly before the Lord, to make atonement for him.
29
Thomsonthere shall be the same law for the stranger among the children of Israel, and for the proselyte who hath joined them and sinned inadvertently, as for them.
BrentonThere shall be one law for the native among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that abides among them, whosoever shall commit a trespass unwillingly.
30
ThomsonBut if any person, whether a native or a proselyte, shall presumptuously transgress, he provoketh God; that person shall be cut off from among his people.
BrentonAnd whatever soul either of the natives or of the strangers shall do any thing with a presumptuous hand, he will provoke God; that soul shall be cut off from his people,
31
ThomsonBecause he hath despised the statute of the Lord, and hath broken his commandments, that person shall be blotted out: his sin shall be upon him.
Brentonfor he has set at nought the word of the Lord and broken his commands: that soul shall be utterly destroyed, his sin is upon him.
32
ThomsonWhen the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day.
BrentonAnd the children of Israel were in the wilderness, and they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath-day.
33
ThomsonAnd they who found him gathering wood on the sabbath day, brought him before Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation of the children of Israel;
BrentonAnd they who found him gathering sticks on the sabbath-day brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel.
34
Thomsonand they committed him to custody, for it had not been determined what should be done to him.
BrentonAnd they placed him in custody, for they did not determine what they should do to him.
35
ThomsonWhereupon the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Let the man be put to death. Let all the congregation stone him with stones.
BrentonAnd the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Let the man be by all means put to death: do ye all the congregation, stone him with stones.
36
ThomsonSo all the congregation led him out of the camp, and the whole congregation stoned him with stones without the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.
BrentonAnd all the congregation brought him forth out of the camp; and all the congregation stoned him with stones outside the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.
37
ThomsonAgain the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
BrentonAnd the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
38
ThomsonSpeak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them. Let them make for themselves tufts on the corners of their mantles, throughout all their generations; and on the tufts at the corners you shall put a blue ribbon,
BrentonSpeak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt tell them; and let them make for themselves fringes upon the borders of their garments throughout their generations: and ye shall put upon the fringes of the borders a lace of blue.
39
Thomsonand have it on the tufts, that when you see them you may remember all the commands of the Lord, and do them, and not turn aside after your imaginations, and your own eyes, by following of which you have gone a-whoring—
BrentonAnd it shall be on your fringes, and ye shall look on them, and ye shall remember all the commands of the Lord, and do them: and ye shall not turn back after your imaginations, and after the sight of your eyes in the things after which ye go a whoring;
40
Thomsonthat you may remember, and do all my commands, and be dedicated to your God.
Brentonthat ye may remember and perform all my commands, and ye shall be holy unto your God.
41
ThomsonI am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. I the Lord am your God.
BrentonI am the Lord your God that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.
