Ruth 4:6
Thomson 1808
Thereupon the relation said, I cannot take upon me the office of a kinsman, lest I may my own inheritance. Take thou upon thyself that office of a kinsman which is my right; for I cannot perform it.
Brenton 1851
And the kinsman said, I shall not be able to redeem it for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance; do thou redeem my right for thyself, for I shall not be able to redeem it.
