1 Chronicles 25
1THEN David the king with the chiefs of this host, appointed to their services the sons of Asaph and Aiman and Idithun, who chanted with harps and with lutes and with cymbals, and an account was taken by poll of those employed in these services.
2The sons of Asaph were Zakchur and Joseph, and Nathanias and Erael. The sons of Asaph were near the king.
3With Idithun were the sons of Idithun, Godolias and Suri, and Iseas and Asabias, and Matthathias, six after their father Idithun, chanting on harps thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.
4With Aiman were the sons of Aiman, Bukias and Matthanias, and Oziel and Subael, and Jerimoth and Ananias, and Anan and Eliatha, and Godollathi and Rometthiezer, and Jesbasaka and Melithi, and Otheri and Meazoth.
5All these sons Aiman had with him when he commenced a psalm for the king in the words of God. To exalt the horn God indeed had given Aiman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6All these with their father sung in the house of God to cymbals and lutes and harps, for the service of the house of God near the king, with Asaph and Idithun and Aiman.
7And the number of them, including younger brethren, who were instructed to sing to the Lord, even all who were skilled, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
8And they cast lots for their daily courses, as well the younger as the senior, both teachers and scholars.
9And the lot which came out the first of his sons and his brethren for Asaph was that of Joseph, namely Godolias; the second, Henia; his sons and brethren, twelve;
10the third, Zakchur; his sons and brethren, twelve;
11the fourth, Jesri; his sons and brethren, twelve;
12the fifth, Nathan; his sons and brethren, twelve;
13the sixth, Bukias; his sons and brethren, twelve;
14the seventh, Iseriel; his sons and brethren, twelve;
15the eighth, Josia; his sons and brethren, twelve;
16the ninth, Matthanias; his sons and brethren, twelve;
17the tenth, Semeia; his sons and brethren, twelve;
18the eleventh, Asriel; his sons and brethren, twelve;
19the twelfth, Asabia; his sons and brethren, twelve;
20the thirteenth, Subael; his sons and brethren twelve;
21the fourteenth, Matthathias; his sons and brethren, twelve;
22the fifteenth, Jerimoth; his sons and brethren, twelve;
23the sixteenth, Anania, his sons and brethren, twelve;
24the seventeenth, Jesbasaka; his sons and brethren, twelve;
25the eighteenth, Ananias; his sons and brethren, twelve;
26the nineteenth, Mellithi; his sons and brethren, twelve;
27the twentieth, Eliatha; his sons and brethren, twelve;
28the twenty-first, Otheri; his sons and brethren, twelve;
29the twenty-second, Godollathi; his sons and brethren, twelve;
30the twenty-third, Meazoth; his sons and brethren, twelve;
31the twenty-fourth, Rometthiezer; his sons and brethren, twelve.
