Joshua 16
1AND the borders of the children of Joseph were from the Jordan, in front of Jericho eastward, and to go up from Jericho to the hilly country—the wilderness to Baithel-louza, and having come out to Baithel,
2the boundary is to run along the borders of Achatarothi,
3and proceed westward, along the borders of Aptalim, till it reacheth the borders of lower Baithoron; and the termination thereof is to be at the sea.
4And when the children of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasses, got their possessions,
5the borders of the children of Ephraim, according to their communities were these. The boundary of their possession from the east were Ataroth, and Erok, till it reached the upper Baithoron, and Gazara;
6then the boundary was to proceed westward to Ikasmon, on the north side of Therma, then to come round eastward to Thenasa, and Selles, and from the east border of that to pass on to Janoka,
7and to Macho, and Ataroth, including their villages; then to come to Jericho, and terminate at the Jordan.
8And from Taphu the boundary was to run westward by Chelkana and to terminate at the sea. This possession of the tribe of Ephraim, according to their communities,
9with the cities set apart for the children of Ephraim, in the inheritance of the children of Manasses, comprehended all their cities and their villages.
10But Ephraim did not destroy the Chananites who dwelt in Gazer. So the Chananites have dwelt among the Ephraimites to this day.
