ThomsonMOREOVER when you parcel out the land for possessions, you shall set apart for the Lord an oblation from the land, a holy portion twenty-five thousand cubits in length and twenty thousand cubits in breadth.
BrentonAnd when ye measure the land for inheritance, ye shall set apart first-fruits to the Lord, a holy space of the land, in length twenty and five thousand reeds, and in breadth twenty thousand; it shall be holy in all the borders thereof round about.
GreekΚαὶ ἐν τῷ καταμετρεῖσθαι ὑμᾶς τὴν γῆν ἐν κληρονομίᾳ, ἀφοριεῖτε ἀπαρχὴν τῷ Κυρίῳ, ἅγιον ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς πέντε καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδας μῆκος, καὶ εὖρος εἴκοσι χιλιάδας, ἅγιον ἔσται ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁρίοις αὐτοῦ κυκλόθεν.

ThomsonIt shall be holy in all its borders round about. And out of this shall be the holy portions, five hundred cubits by five hundred cubits, a square all around, and a space of fifty cubits all around it.
BrentonAnd there shall be a sanctuary out of this, five hundred reeds in length by five hundred in breadth, a square round about; and there shall be a vacant space beyond this of fifty cubits round about.

ThomsonOut of the measurement, when thou shalt measure off a length of twenty-five thousand and a breadth of twenty thousand,
BrentonAnd out of this measurement shalt thou measure the length five and twenty thousand, and the breadth twenty thousand: and in it shall be the holy of holies.

Thomsonpart shall be for the Holy of Holies and part shall be for the priests who minister in the sanctuary. There shall be both for them who draw near to minister to the Lord, and there shall be for the others, a place for houses set apart in their holy portions.
BrentonOf the land shall be a portion for the priests that minister in the holy place, and it shall be for them that draw nigh to minister to the Lord: and it shall be to them a place for houses set apart for their sacred office;

ThomsonThe length of twenty-five thousand and the breadth of twenty thousand shall be for the Levites who serve in the house. They shall have for a possession cities to dwell in.
Brentonthe length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the breadth twenty thousand: and the Levites that attend the house, they shall have cities to dwell in for a possession.

ThomsonAnd for the possession of the city thou shalt give five thousand in breadth and twenty-five thousand in length. This, in the same manner as that set apart for the sanctuary, shall belong to the whole house of Israel.
BrentonAnd ye shall appoint for the possession of the city five thousand in breadth, and in length twenty-five thousand: after the manner of the first-fruits of the holy portion, they shall be for all the house of Israel.

ThomsonAnd on each side of these there shall be allotted for the ruler, adjoining the holy oblation and the possession of the city, the tracts in front of the holy oblation and the possession of the city, both westward and eastward; and the length shall be like one of the portions from the boundaries on the sea to the eastern border of the land.
BrentonAnd the prince shall have a portion out of this, and out of this there shall be a portion for the first-fruits of the sanctuary, and for the possession of the city, in front of the first-fruits of the sanctuary, and in front of the possession of the city westward, and from the western parts eastward: and the length shall be equal to one of the parts of the western borders, and the length shall be to the eastern borders of the land.

ThomsonAnd this shall be his possession in Israel. And the rulers of Israel shall no more oppress My people and the house of Israel shall possess the land according to their tribes.
BrentonAnd he shall have it for a possession in Israel: and the princes of Israel shall no more oppress my people; but the house of Israel shall inherit the land according to their tribes.
GreekΚαὶ ἔσται αὐτῷ εἰς κατάσχεσιν ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ οὐ καταδυναστεύσουσιν οὐκέτι οἱ ἀφηγούμενοι τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ τὸν λαόν μου, καὶ τὴν γῆν κατακληρονομήσουσιν οἶκος Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ φυλὰς αὐτῶν.

ThomsonThus saith the Lord God: Let this suffice you, O princes of Israel. Put an end to injustice and misery. Execute judgment and justice. Remove oppression from My people, saith the Lord God.
BrentonThus saith the Lord God; Let it suffice you, ye princes of Israel: remove injustice and misery, execute judgment and justice; take away oppression from my people, saith the Lord God.
GreekΤάδε λέγει Κύριος Θεὸς, ἱκανούσθω ὑμῖν οἱ ἀφηγούμενοι τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ, ἀδικίαν καὶ ταλαιπωρίαν ἀφέλεσθε, κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην ποιήσατε· ἐξάρατε καταδυναστείαν ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ μου, λέγει Κύριος Θεός.

BrentonYe shall have a just balance, and a just measure, and a just chœnix for measure.
GreekΖυγὸς δίκαιος, καὶ μέτρον δίκαιον, καὶ χοῖνιξ δικαία ἔσται ὑμῖν τοῦ μέτρου,

ThomsonLet your chenix be the just part of the measure; and let the chenix uniformly contain the tenth of a gomar. Let a chenix and a tenth of a gomar, as it respecteth a gomar, be equal.
BrentonAnd in like manner there shall be one chœnix as a measure of capacity; the tenth of the gomor shall be the chœnix, and the tenth of the gomor shall be in fair proportion to the gomor.

ThomsonAnd the weights shall be twenty oboli, five shekels, fifteen shekels. And fifty shekels shall be your mna [weight of money].
BrentonAnd the weights shall be twenty oboli, your pound shall be five shekels, fifteen shekels and fifty shekels.
GreekΚαὶ τὰ στάθμια, εἴκοσι ὀβολοὶ, πέντε σίκλοι, πέντε καὶ σίκλοι δέκα, καὶ πεντήκοντα σίκλοι ἡ μνᾶ ἔσται ὑμῖν.

ThomsonNow this shall be the oblation which you shall set apart, a sixth of a measure from the gomar of wheat and the sixth of the same ephah from the cor of barley.
BrentonAnd these are the first-fruits which ye shall offer; a sixth part of a gomor of wheat, and the sixth part of it shall consist of an ephah of a cor of barley.

ThomsonAnd the ordinance of oil shall be one cotula of oil from ten cotulas; for the ten cotulas are a gomar.
BrentonAnd ye shall give as the appointed measure of oil one bath of oil out of ten baths; for ten baths are a gomor.
GreekΚαὶ τὸ πρόσταγμα τοῦ ἐλαίου κοτύλην ἐλαίου ἀπὸ δέκα κοτυλῶν, ὅτι αἱ δέκα κοτύλαι εἰσὶ γομόρ.

ThomsonAnd a sheep from the flock, from every ten, shall be an oblation from all the families of Israel for sacrifices and for whole burnt offerings and for offerings of thanksgiving to make atonement for you, saith the Lord God.
BrentonAnd one sheep from the flock out of ten, as an oblation from all the tribes of Israel, for sacrifices, and for whole-burnt-offerings, and for peace-offerings, to make atonement for you, saith the Lord God.
GreekΚαὶ πρόβατον ἀπὸ τῶν προβάτων ἀπὸ δέκα ἀφαίρεμα ἐκ πασῶν τῶν πατριῶν τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ, εἰς θυσίας, καὶ εἰς ὁλοκαυτώματα, καὶ εἰς σωτηρίου, τοῦ ἐξιλάσκεσθαι περὶ ὑμῶν, λέγει Κύριος Θεός.

ThomsonAnd all the people shall give this oblation to the ruler of Israel; and by the ruler shall be given the whole burnt offerings and the sacrifices and the libations at the festivals and at the new moons and on the sabbaths.
BrentonAnd all the people shall give these first-fruits to the prince of Israel.
GreekΚαὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς δώσει τὴν ἀπαρχὴν ταύτην τῷ ἀφηγουμένῳ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ.

ThomsonAt all the festivals of the house of Israel he shall make the sin offerings and the sacrifices and the whole burnt offerings and the offerings of thanksgiving to make atonement for the house of Israel.
BrentonAnd through the prince shall be offered the whole-burnt-offerings and the meat-offerings, and the drink-offerings in the feasts, and at the new moons, and on the sabbaths; and in all the feasts of the house of Israel: he shall offer the sin-offerings, and the meat-offering, and the whole-burnt-offerings, and the peace-offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.

ThomsonThus saith the Lord God: In the first month on the first day of the month, you shall take from the herd a young bull without blemish, to make atonement for the sanctuary.
BrentonThus saith the Lord God; In the first month, on the first day of the month, ye shall take a calf without blemish out of the herd, to make atonement for the holy place.
GreekΤάδε λέγει Κύριος Θεὸς, ἐν τῷ πρώτῳ μηνὶ, μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς, λήμψεσθε μόσχον ἐκ βοῶν ἄμωμον, τοῦ ἐξιλάσασθαι τὸ ἅγιον.

ThomsonAnd the priest shall take some of the blood of the atonement and put it on the door-posts of the house and on the four corners of the temple and on the altar and on the posts of the gate of the inner court.
BrentonAnd the priest shall take of the blood of the atonement, and put it on the thresholds of the house, and upon the four corners of the temple, and upon the altar, and upon the thresholds of the gate of the inner court.
GreekΚαὶ λήψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ ἐξιλασμοῦ, καὶ δώσει ἐπὶ τὰς φλιὰς τοῦ οἴκου, καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς τέσσαρας γωνίας τοῦ ἱεροῦ, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον, καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς φλιὰς τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς τῆς ἐσωτέρας.

ThomsonAnd in like manner thou shalt do in the seventh month. On the first of that month thou shalt receive a portion from every individual and you shall make atonement for the house.
BrentonAnd thus shalt thou do in the seventh month; on the first day of the month thou shalt take a rate from each one; and ye shall make atonement for the house.
GreekΚαὶ οὕτως ποιήσεις ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ· μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς λήψῃ παρʼ ἑκάστου ἀπόμοιραν· καὶ ἐξιλάσεσθε τὸν οἶκον.

ThomsonAnd in the first month, on the fourteenth day of this month, shall be your paschal festival. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

ThomsonAnd on that day the ruler shall offer, for himself and his house and for all the people of the land, a young bull for a sin offering.
BrentonAnd the prince shall offer in that day a calf for a sin-offering for himself, and the house, and for all the people of the land.
GreekΚαὶ ποιήσει ὁ ἀφηγούμενος ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ, καὶ τοῦ οἴκου, καὶ ὑπὲρ παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ τῆς γῆς, μόσχον ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτίας.

ThomsonAnd during the seven days of the festival he shall offer as whole burnt offerings to the Lord, seven young bulls and seven rams without blemish, every day during the seven days; and for a sin offering, a kid of the goats every day with a sacrifice.
BrentonAnd for the seven days of the feast he shall offer as whole-burnt-offerings to the Lord seven calves and seven rams without blemish daily for the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin-offering, and a meat-offering.
GreekΚαὶ τὰς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας τῆς ἑορτῆς ποιήσει ὁλοκαυτώματα τῷ Κυρίῳ ἑπτὰ μόσχους καὶ ἑπτὰ κριοὺς ἀμώμους καθʼ ἡμέραν, τὰς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας, καὶ ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτίας ἔριφον αἰγῶν καθʼ ἡμέραν, καὶ θυσίαν.

ThomsonAnd thou shalt prepare a cake for the bull and cakes for the rams, with a hin of oil to the cake.
BrentonAnd thou shalt prepare a cake for the calf, and cakes for the ram, and a hin of oil for the cake.
GreekΚαὶ πέμμα τῷ μόσχῳ, καὶ πέμματα τῷ κριῷ ποιήσεις, καὶ ἐλαίου τὸ εἲν τῷ πεμματι.

ThomsonAnd in the seventh month, on the fifteenth of the month, at that festival thou shalt do in like manner, during seven days, as well in regard to the sin offerings as to the whole burnt offerings and the cakes and the oil
BrentonAnd in the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, thou shalt sacrifice in the feast in the same way seven days, as they sacrificed the sin-offerings, and the whole-burnt-offerings, and the freewill-offering, and the oil.
